I'm still not convinced that thing IS a dog. I think it's a rat and in that case I'd go with Leviticus 11:25
"...these are unclean for you: the mole rat, the rat, large lizards of all kinds, the gecko, the monitor lizard, the common lizard, the sand lizard, and the chameleon. All these small animals are unclean for you."

YAH - but you don't have a dog like mine!
